Professional Bio; Chad Bommer, CEO Bommer Consulting: Chad graduated high school in June of 1997 in Mira Loma, CA. He started his college career, with an aspiration to become a professional baseball player. That dream ended quickly with a career ending injury his freshman year of college.
Chad quickly pivoted his career aspirations, and soon graduated from California State University Fullerton in the spring of 2003 with a B.A. in finance. He worked for a fortune 500 homebuilder until the housing market collapse in 2007. Little did he know, this would catapult him into an exciting career in government contracting.
Chad Bommer has extensive government contracting knowledge, with real-world experience as a project manager, general manager, owner, and consultant for over 15 years. Chad has managed numerous diverse multiple million-dollar contracts, specializing in energy efficiency and construction. Chad managed a medium sized (25 employees) work force and has been a mentor to numerous foster youths in the Riverside Area. Chad currently consults with multi-million-dollar aerospace and construction firms pursuing work across multiple government markets. With over 5000 hours of government business consulting experience, Chad has helped businesses win over 100M in contracts in his 6.5 years working for the Riverside PTAC and Inland Empire/Orange County SBDC.
Chad is a small business owner of Self Made Construction, founded in 2014, a general contracting firm located in Riverside, CA. Chad also serves as CEO of Bommer Consulting, a corporation he started in 2021. Currently he serves as the President for the National Contract Management Inland Empire chapter. Chad lives in Riverside with his wife and daughter. His passions include coaching and playing baseball, holistic living, good food, traveling, and learning.

2007 – Hired as Project Manager for an 8(a) certified general contractor in Southern California. Became familiar with 8(a) program and led re-certification efforts yearly.
2010 – Promoted to General Manager. Ran multiple federal million-dollar contracts and managed growth from 6 to 25 employees. Managed over 25 employees.
2014 – Hired as Procurement Specialist for Riverside Community College PTAC.
2018 – Recognized by Dean of Office of Economic Development at Riverside Community College District for exemplary work with small business.
2019 – Identified as lead PTAC agent in Southern California to help train new PTAC agents to their role.
2019 – Nominated and elected as Vice President of Inland Empire National Contraction Management Association (NCMA).
2020 – Nominated and elected as President of Inland Empire National Contraction Management Association (NCMA).
2020 – Left PTAC, to pursue my own company as a government contract consultant with a specialty in 8(a) contracts and started Bommer Consulting as sole proprietorship.
2021 – Hired as Small Business Procurement Expert at Inland Empire/Orange County SBDC.
2021 – Incorporated Bommer Consulting Inc.
2021 – Led effort to create a JV and ASMPP between larger prime contractor and 8(a) company.
2021 – Led effort to bring along AS9100 quality certification to 8(a) company.
